# What Porter does not do yet

Porter's mobile app is deliberately narrow: record a visit, get it safely to Porter, read what came back, ask the coach. This page lists what it does **not** do, so you do not go looking.

Some of these are missing on purpose. Where that is the case, the reason is given — a control that looks like it works and does not is worse than no control at all.

## Not in the mobile app

## Not available anywhere yet

* **Deleting a single recording** from your phone or from Porter.
* **Private recordings.** Everything you record is visible to your workspace. If a conversation should not be, do not record it here.
* **Searching or deleting your Ask Porter threads**, or filtering them by where they came from. You can browse the list and start new threads.
* **Streaming replies from Ask Porter.** Replies arrive complete, after a spinner, rather than typing themselves out.
* **Sending a recording that is over the upload size limit.** It stays safe on your phone until resumable uploads ship.
* **Dark mode.**
* **A tablet layout.** Porter runs on a tablet but is designed for a phone in your hand.

## Things you may have seen elsewhere that are not real here

The web app and earlier previews show a few controls the mobile app leaves out on purpose, because nothing behind them would work:

* A **share with team** toggle — recordings are already visible to your workspace, and there is nothing to toggle.
* A **delete** button on a recording.
* An **estimated job value** field.
* Entering a customer's **email or address at capture time** — those are edited afterwards, from the conversation.

## Asking for something

If one of these is blocking you, tell your workspace admin. The list gets shorter over time, and knowing which one costs you the most is what decides the order.
