# Coaching

Turn real customer conversations into focused feedback and better performance.

Porter helps you coach your team using real customer interactions. Review how team members handle conversations, recognize effective behaviors, and identify opportunities to improve.

You can then use those observations to give specific feedback that helps team members apply what they've learned to future customer interactions.

## **Evaluate conversation performance**

Start by understanding how a conversation performed against your coaching playbook. Reviewing the score alongside the feedback and relevant moments helps you see which behaviors were effective and where a different approach might have led to a better outcome.

For more detailed feedback, see [**Coach's Corner**](/docs/porter-for-managers/coaching/coachs-corner.md).

## **Give actionable coaching feedback**

Once you've identified an area to reinforce or improve, capture your observations so team members can understand and revisit them. You can leave feedback on an entire conversation or a specific moment in the recording, making it easier to connect your guidance to what actually happened. You can also control who can see each note.

For instructions on adding and managing feedback, see [**Notes**](/docs/porter-for-managers/coaching/notes.md).

Together, **Coach’s Corner** and **Notes** help you turn individual conversations into meaningful coaching opportunities. Use specific examples from real interactions to guide one-on-ones, recognize progress, and discuss practical ways to handle similar situations more effectively.

As you review conversations over time, you can identify recurring strengths, spot patterns that need attention, and give team members clearer direction on how to improve.
