# Find and review a conversation

Find recorded conversations and review the information Porter captured from each interaction.

Reviewing a conversation gives you the context you need to understand a customer interaction, evaluate what happened, and decide where follow-up or coaching may be useful.

From the Conversations page, you can search and filter recordings to find the interaction you need, then open it to review the outcome, customer information, summary, captured job details, and performance results. You can also bookmark important conversations to make them easier to find again.

## **Find a conversation**

In the **Conversations** tab, use the main tabs to switch between **All**, **In person**, and **Calls** conversations.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://2671034909-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F6CbdWFCK3k3xCglm07Jo%2Fuploads%2FAAr39k30X0rHfjvedQAL%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=7acc4e52-f1ad-49d4-8042-99ca3dcb7c49" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

You can narrow the list further using the controls at the top of the page.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://2671034909-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F6CbdWFCK3k3xCglm07Jo%2Fuploads%2Fdskp4i6By0sekSGRe24F%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=a9b8a723-675b-4958-ba8f-7c987a12e18d" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

* **Active / Archived** — Switch between active and archived conversations.
* **Today / 7 days / 30 days / All time** — Set the time period for the conversations shown.

Use **Search conversations** when you know a word or phrase associated with the interaction. Search looks at the conversation's title and contents, so it can find a conversation based on information captured during the interaction even when that information is not part of the title.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://2671034909-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F6CbdWFCK3k3xCglm07Jo%2Fuploads%2Fz302b43wVkEqzn8MKR6V%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=95c1ab2b-a502-4741-9a1f-9d385aedb50d" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

For example, searching for *ant control* can return a conversation where those words appear in the conversation details.

Use the **Members** filter next to the search bar to show conversations associated with specific team members. The available options are members listed under [**Settings** → **Members**](/docs/settings/team.md) who have created a Porter account.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://2671034909-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F6CbdWFCK3k3xCglm07Jo%2Fuploads%2FXcd9gDhmPYfnHeZwf5ET%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=884bc4cf-639d-4f2a-99d9-5eb6aa705176" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

The **Teams filter** button beside it lets you filter conversations by team. To use this filter, first create your teams and assign team members under [**Settings → Teams**](/docs/settings/teams.md).

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://2671034909-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F6CbdWFCK3k3xCglm07Jo%2Fuploads%2F1gpvdRobb9VNhYh8TiA3%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=fded286a-4093-4ecd-8876-c3c38a04664d" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

The **Filter** button lets you narrow conversations by bookmark status, call status, tags, lead score, coaching playbook, and outcome. You can, for example, find missed calls that need follow-up, conversations marked as sales opportunities, or interactions evaluated using a specific playbook.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://2671034909-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F6CbdWFCK3k3xCglm07Jo%2Fuploads%2FbzovRmasN6bNUEp2PySw%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=96e47fbc-37fc-4d99-96ba-a20b8b29f5d2" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

Conversations are grouped by date. In-person recordings display a **microphone icon** and the label **In-person visit**, followed by a description of the conversation. Calls display a **phone icon** and the **phone number that was called**. Bookmarked conversations display a **bookmark icon**, making them easy to identify in the list.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://2671034909-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F6CbdWFCK3k3xCglm07Jo%2Fuploads%2Fn06AWbwfJVgxU2IZD6OM%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=1d3cf29b-bae6-466c-b322-d3c439743ef2" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

## **Understand conversation details**

The conversation page brings together the information Porter captured from an interaction, helping you understand the customer's needs, what was discussed, and what may require follow-up without reviewing the entire recording.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://2671034909-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F6CbdWFCK3k3xCglm07Jo%2Fuploads%2FdrOIXGLd21EtKECHeatD%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=d7afa54d-e63b-4688-a83e-34be639f9040" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

The header shows the conversation title, relevant tags, date, time, and duration. The conversation details below provide the following information:

* **Outcome** — Shows the predicted outcome of the conversation, such as Won · draft or Follow-up · draft.
* **Recorded by** — Shows the team member associated with the conversation. If the conversation hasn't been assigned, you can assign it to a team member.
* **Contact** — Shows available customer information, such as the customer's name and phone number.
* **Summary** — Provides an overview of what happened during the interaction.
* **Details** — Organizes information Porter captured about the customer's needs and the work discussed. Depending on the conversation, this can include the service, scope, condition, timeline, customer priorities, and next steps.

Use these details to quickly understand the interaction, confirm important information, and identify what needs further attention.

## **Bookmark and archive conversations**

Keep important conversations easy to revisit for follow-up or coaching, and keep your active list focused on conversations that still need attention.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://2671034909-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F6CbdWFCK3k3xCglm07Jo%2Fuploads%2FSla2lxw0tiNtjvrJOZF0%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=b3df17da-a38e-4af8-9618-69258d7396cf" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

The **Bookmark** and **Archive** buttons are in the upper-right corner of the conversation details page.

**Bookmark** — Mark a conversation for future reference. Bookmarked conversations display a bookmark icon in the conversation list. To find them, click the **Filter** button on the **Conversations** page and enable **Show only bookmarked conversations**.

**Archive** — Remove a conversation from your active list without losing access to it. To find archived conversations, go to the **Conversations** page and switch the **Active / Archived** control above the conversation list to **Archived**.

## **Review performance**

**Coach's Corner** shows how the conversation was evaluated against its selected coaching playbook. The overall score and section-level results can help you understand how the interaction performed against the criteria your workspace uses for coaching.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://2671034909-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F6CbdWFCK3k3xCglm07Jo%2Fuploads%2FrbvoyZOWSU7KIgZgoE7u%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=aafb99c7-910e-421c-b142-5763e86b5f7b" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

Individual playbook sections can include their own score, feedback, and references to relevant moments in the conversation. If the wrong coaching playbook was selected, use the **Graded against** dropdown to switch to the appropriate playbook.

For a detailed explanation of coaching scores, feedback, and referenced moments, see [**Coach's Corner**](/docs/porter-for-managers/coaching/coachs-corner.md).

## **Explore the conversation**

When you need to understand a specific part of an interaction in more detail, you can review the **Transcript**, listen to the recording, and revisit specific moments referenced in the coaching results.

If you've previously started a **Chat with Porter** thread from that conversation, the chat window will appear when you open the conversation again.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://2671034909-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F6CbdWFCK3k3xCglm07Jo%2Fuploads%2FsYI1IebbvDvd8AO09P2X%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=a362db94-33cd-4517-9f38-26ad74348928" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

You can minimize or maximize the window while reviewing the conversation, making it easy to return to your previous questions and answers.

Use [**Activity**](/docs/porter-for-managers/coaching/notes.md) to view and add notes associated with the conversation.

For detailed information about working with the transcript, recording, notes, or coaching results, see [**Transcript**](/docs/porter-for-managers/conversations/transcript.md), [**Notes**](/docs/porter-for-managers/coaching/notes.md), and [**Coach's Corne**](/docs/porter-for-managers/coaching/coachs-corner.md)**r**.
