# Accept your Porter invitation

Create your Porter account from your team's invitation and get ready to start using Porter.

Your Porter account is created through an invitation from your business. **Only managers can send invitations to team members from the Porter web app.** Once you accept the invitation and set your password, you can access Porter on the web and sign in to the mobile app.

***

## **Open your invitation**

Look for an email from Porter with the subject **\[Business name] You've been invited to join Porter**.

The email includes the name and email address of the person who invited you, the business you are joining, and a **Create account** button.

Your invitation expires after **14 days**, so make sure to accept it before it expires.

Select **Create account** in the email.

***

## **Create your account**

The invitation opens the **Join us on Porter** page.

Enter your **First name**, **Last name**, and **Password**. Select **Continue** once done.

***

## **Your account is ready**

After you create your account, Porter takes you to the **Dashboard**.

Your account is now ready to use. From here, you can browse the Porter web app, including the conversations and other areas available to your account.

To record in-person customer conversations, download and install the **Porter mobile app**, then sign in using the account you just created.
