# Conversation flags

Define specific statements or behaviors that Porter should flag for review in conversations.

Conversation flags help your team identify statements, commitments, and potential issues that may need closer attention. You can use pre-built templates or create custom flags to align with your business processes and review priorities.

***

## **Add a conversation flag**

Open **Settings**, select **Conversation flags**, and click **Add flag** in the upper-right corner.

Choose a template to get started. Porter provides several flag templates:

* **Insurance coverage statement**
* **Financial commitment**
* **Timeline commitment**
* **Process or agreement inconsistency**
* **Insurance or legal guidance**
* **Professional conduct**

Each template comes with a suggested flag name and a description of what Porter should look for. For example, the Insurance coverage statement template identifies definitive statements about what a third party will cover, approve, reimburse, or pay for when the outcome has not been confirmed.

After selecting a template, review the **Flag name** and **What to look out for** fields. You can keep the suggested details or edit them to match your team's needs. You can also customize both fields to create a flag tailored to your business.

When you're finished, click **Save** to add the flag.

## **Manage conversation flags**

Use the three-dot menu next to a flag to **Edit** or **Delete** it.

To update an existing flag, select **Edit** and modify the flag name or the description in **What to look out for**. Save your changes when you're done.

To remove a flag you no longer need, select **Delete**.
