# Teams

Organize members into teams to track group performance.

Teams let you group workspace members by department, location, or another shared responsibility. Once created, these groups can be used in Team metrics to review performance across a team alongside individual results.

***

## **Create a team**

Create a team by giving it a name, adding a description, and selecting the members you want to group together. You can organize members by department, location, or area of responsibility, depending on how you want to review performance.

1. In the left sidebar, open **Settings** and select **Teams**.
2. Select **Create team** in the upper-right corner.
3. Enter a name in the **Name** field.
4. Enter a **Description** to explain the team's purpose, department, location, or area of responsibility.
5. Under **Members**, select the checkbox next to each person you want to include.
6. Select **Save team** to create the team.

## **View team performance**

After creating teams and assigning members, open **Team metrics** from the left sidebar.

Team metrics lets you review performance at both the individual and team levels. You can compare metrics such as the number of conversations and average score to understand how a team is performing overall and how its members contribute to those results.
